In April 2002, VELO GROUP purchased the company FOODING GMBH, which represents its Planning and Trade Division worldwide, with the exception of Italy where VELO S.p.A. remains the benchmark for the market.
The merger between these two market-leading companies for Pub and Mini breweries has allowed FOODING to acquire the resources necessary to extend its activities to the international market.
VELOFOODING GMBH Group is now capable of offering complete brewery systems based on original German designs. These systems are constructed at the VELO S.p.A. facilities, just outside of Venice, using the most advanced technologies, including a vast use of automated CAD and CAM production systems. The breweries can be designed with increasing levels of automation and can even be realised as completely autonomous systems which require extremely little manpower.
FOODING’S traditional flexibility, which has always allowed it to produce a variety of technical solutions, is now flanked by the dynamic production capabilities of VELO Group in Italy, with prompt and timely deliveries.
Today, both companies’ experience and testimonials have allowed for FOODING GMBH to penetrate the market of even larger breweries, up to 250 HL per batch. The two companies have already delivered various turn-key systems of up to 150 HL per batch. The first projects to have benefitted from the new synergies are represented by complete systems for the production of 250,000 HL/year.
